Vegas, the abridged version

it's the monday after

and i am still coming to.

waking up from a week/weekend of constant, well, "me"-ness

celebrating 30 years is huge, apparently.

no. make that freaking AWESOME!

Vegas was, in a word, Vegas.

that may not clarify much from any given perspective

from mine:

it's a scene. a sad lonely sort of one,

with crazies running rampant

and know that "crazies" in Vegas covers a whole slew of locos

the self life in its rawest form perhaps.

i guess they don't call it sin city for nothin.

we done good though, with a mellow approach

hoping to avoid the madness as much as possible

and enjoy time away from the day to day.

possibly... a bit over-stimulating for a married-with-three-kids 30 year old

and 7 months preggo mama,

but FUN nonetheless :)

now, since i have about 3298472398472 things to do for the week ahead

its back to reality. here's a few from my iphone...

love catching up on the road.. only a 3.5 hour ride.

it's always night in vegas.. (no windows in the casinos).

the MGM is purdy grand.

planet hollywood shops! i got a pair of much needed tennies...

happy hour while getting ready. on the town. my BFF's idiosyncrasies (like candles in a hotel bathroom). giving myself a RED mani. desserts galore. playing 2 bucks and winning 10.. yeh, we are big time gamblers! ha!

YUM!! i love New York, New York... such a cool hotel!

walked the strip to pick up our tickets to LOVE & see the sites, then caught a bus back...

afternoon by the pool. no, that's not pee! we met some fellow (normal) moms sitting behind us. so fun!

out to see the show...

which was amazing! all that was missing was the LSD, sheesh!

breakfast in Paris - the coffee is to die for here!!!

a five hour drive home... in hail.

more birthday nonsense on the way...
